I can’t quite work out what is going on in the Georgian music scene. There doesn’t seem to be vast amounts of crossover between the folk styles and the pop scene, there are very few metal bands and most oddly of all, they seem to have a reasonably thriving Britpop scene twenty years after the event.
Anyway, this is Lazy Days by Tbilisi which is a rather nicely constructed mid-tempo rock song with an instrumental break that reminds me of every record that I loved in 1997 (in a good way). The black light art in the video is an excellent treat too.
There’s more of their stuff on soundcloud, if you like what you hear.
